The original hardcourt surface is chosen by the ‘fifth major’.

The BNP Paribas Open, one of the world’s most prestigious tennis tournaments, is proud to announce a new partnership with Laykold, which has been selected as the official surface provider for the tournament. The partnership, set to begin in 2025, marks a significant step forward in the tournament's commitment to quality, court pace precision and consistency, technological innovation and sustainability through adoption of the only surface brand using recycled balls in its court systems. The Palm Springs partnership promises to deliver a step-up in playing conditions for the athletes, an enhanced fan experience and a greener result for the environment.

Cross-court and cross-continental consistency elevates player performance
